GIMP is a raster graphics editing program similar to Photoshop. I am a developer on this project.
During late 2003, several statistics functions in the spreadsheet application of the OpenOffice.org office suite were fixed. I received a bounty from The GNOME foundation and Ximian (now Novell) for it.
During October 2004, Marius Eriksen of Google presented an interesting matrix multiplication problem (also available in plain TeX) as a challenge while chatting. He mentioned this was one he wouldn't ask during recruiting because it was not straightforward. A solution program was written.
A patch was written for x264 to add ffmpeg support, somewhere back in time.
In July 2000, a fingerd program was written for SourceForge.net to provide information about registered users and their projects. This was incorporated into their Alexandria code distribution. It is now in the GForge distribution. I also did security audits of the Alexandria codebase.
Conic Planet is a CGI application which renders a photo-realistic image of the Earth and other planets. It is based on Xplanet and has support for azimuthal, mercator, mollweide, orthographic and rectangular projections.
DH2C is a super-fast Die Hard 2 virus scanner and cleaner for DOS, written in 8086 assembly.
